Continuing to build on its next-generation MOTOTRBO digital two-way radio system, Motorola has launched Capacity Plus, a single-site trunking solution that offers a scalable and cost-effective means of expanding communications.

Capacity Plus is an ideal solution for companies with a large number of employees who are organised into numerous work groups and need to share voice communications and multiple data applications within a single building or across a campus environment. It provides access for up to 12 voice channels and 24 additional dedicated data paths, enabling up to 1200 users to share voice or data – including GPS location co-ordinates, text messages and telemetry commands – all on a single system.

Compared to a conventional system, trunking provides the user with a more efficient multi-channel solution that helps guarantee access to voice or data communication.
